Notes for Wednesday, September 28, 2005 Web Meeting
In attendance:

Regular meeting times were set for every Wednesday night at 5:30 unless otherwise noted. The next Web Team meeting will be held in the Seminar Room (the room next to the lounge and outside of the Reading Room in Hamilton) on October 5, 2005.
Designers requesting help with the programs the Web Team uses should contact Kelsey Ehlers in room 16-C of Hamilton Hall. Her available hours are: Mon, Wed, Fri from 10:30-12:30; and Tues, Thurs from 1:30-3:30. Kelsey’s contact information is as follows: (kkehlers@iastate.edu). Email Kelsey for an appointment.
On October 7, 2005 Web Team will be taking a trip to Meredith Corporation in Des Moines. At that time, we will meet with Dave Kurns. The scheduled meeting time is from 11:30-2, but plan for travel-time both ways too. Don’t forget to bring money for lunch.
If you would like to go on the trip, email Kelsey with your confirmation by Friday, September 30, 2005.
On October 12, 2005 Dennis Chamberlain will be the guest speaker at the meeting. His topic is “Taking Photos for the Web.”
There is new art on the Greenlee Homepage: Erin Magnani’s photo of Mel Mencher. This photo also accompanies a news story on the Greenlee site.
The Web Team constitution is nearly finished, and Jessica will send a copy to all members of the team for comment before it is adopted. This document is necessary to for ISU to recognize the web team as an official student organization.
Projects
As always, we are looking for new photos to put up on the Homepage. Keep a heads up for photo opportunities and news stories in the Greenlee School.
Jana- The school’s magazine program/new club/Meredith apprenticeship program
Katie- Photo to accompany Jana’s story
Al- Homecoming story
Lori- Maureen (adviser) story on her new position
Note from Jessica and Dru: Listen for news around Hamilton Hall. If there is something you would like to write a story about or photograph, let Jessica and Dru know via e-mail, so that they don't assign the same story to another web team member. Make sure that any new news story ideas you have are Greenlee oriented because we design the news for the Greenlee Homepage.
