Ethos is Iowa State University's student-run magazine published twice a semester. Ethos is a full color, glossy 32-page magazine, with positions for writers, designers, photographers, and advertising and PR representatives. Ethos differs from the Daily because it goes in-depth to get to the core of the story. Ethos stories are more literary journalism than inverted pyramid style writing. The stories attempt to be lively and colorful, showing a scene rather than telling. Past members of the Ethos staff have worked at The Des Moines Register, Guideposts, Seventeen, MTV News, and WHO-TV 13 just to name a few. For more information: |
