Printing

The Greenlee School has implemented Iowa State University's NetPrint.

You are subsidized $5 a semester in printing credits, which equals 100 pages. After that you will be charged $.05 cents for each additional page printed.

Manual Feeding the Printers

VERY IMPORTANT: If you wish to print transparencies, you MUST purchase the transparencies from us. (The wrong kind will melt inside the printer and cause havoc.) Also, if you are providing your own r&eacutesumé paper, it MUST be laser-safe paper. We will need to see the package for proof. Again, some non-laser safe papers have coatings that will melt during the printing process.
1. To set a computer up to manual feed you must first select Print from the application's File menu.
2. When the dialog box appears, click on the drop down menu in the lower right corner
that says Auto Select and choose Manual Feed. Click Print.
3. The top right corner (application menu) will flash the finder icon. Either click the desktop or choose Finder in the application menu. There will be a dialog box that appears in the finder that tells you that this job is ready to be printed and to put your paper in the printer.
4. The printer paper light will come on until paper is present in the manual feed slot. IMPORTANT: All printing will cease until the manual feed print is complete so inform the lab monitor before you start so they can keep an eye on the print server.

All Color printing is done through our HP DesignJet 100 at the Lab Monitor's desk. When you are ready to print your color document bring your files to the lab monitor on a Zip Disk or save them to your Greenlee Server account. The lab monitor will open up the file and you can review it before sending it to the printer.
