The Iowa Newspaper Foundation transferred $941.93 to the ISU Foundation this fall from sales of Greenlee School Director Michael Bugeja’s book “The How-To News Writer.”

Arvid Huisman, executive director of the INF, reported third quarter sales of the book were 226 copies, of which 104 copies were sold to high schools at half price through Sept. 30. Since the book was published in February 2004, 774 copies have been sold.

Bugeja is donating his share of the book’s royalties to a First Amendment Scholarship program for students at the Greenlee School. To date, the book has generated $4,242.32 in royalties for the First Amendment Scholarship fund.

The book costs $14.99 and information about ordering the title can be found at the Iowa Newspaper Foundation.
