The American Library Association recognized Barbara Mack as the 2005 recipient of the “National Advocacy Honor Roll” award for Iowa. Each year, the ALA selects an individual from each state who has performed exemplary service on behalf of libraries in the state. Mack is a member of “Lawyers for Libraries,” an advocacy group that supports First Amendment freedoms and high educational standards. Marcia Prior-Miller has served as adviser to Kappa Tau Alpha for all of the Greenlee chapter’s 18 years. The national office of Kappa Tau Alpha recently began recognizing people who have served at least 10 years as an adviser. Keith P. She was honored officially at the AEJMC convention held in San Antonio in August, where she received a special citation.
