ISU's PRSSA to present nationallyThe Iowa State University Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) will present a chapter development session in October at the PRSSA National Conference. This is the third consecutive year Iowa State's chapter has been chosen to present at this prestigious conference. The chapter submitted a proposal to the PRSSA National Committee for review and was notified April 26 that members will present at the conference. The proposal required a presentation outline and creative component. This year’s presentation will be on the chapter’s annual PR Week, a yearly celebration of public relations. "PR Week 2003: Careers in public relations” was extremely successful in terms of attendance and speakers. Keith Henry, deputy for the NASA Langley Research Center's public affairs office and a Greenlee School alumnus, served as the keynote speaker for PR Week. He spoke on crisis communication and cited the Columbia tragedy in his presentation. Thousands of public relations students from throughout the world attend the conference. Five members of ISU’s chapter will present to an audience of about 200 people and will field their questions.
