in the 20-year teaching career of Giles Fowler, the Deans
Cabinet in the College of
Liberal Arts and Sciences has bestowed upon him the honorary
title of "associate professor emeritus" of journalism.

Jessica Anderson, a senior from Eagan, Minn., has been
chosen as one of six students who will attend the Scripps
Howard Foundation's Semester in Washington program this fall.

Michael Bugeja, the former associate director of the E.W. Scripps
School of Journalism at Ohio University in Athens, became director
of the Greenlee School on July 1.
