The Iowa State Daily, Ethos magazine, and Greenlee students figured prominently in the Society of Professional Journalists Region 7’s Mark of Excellence Awards, with the Daily going on to the nationals and Iowa State students sweeping the online features category.
Three Iowa State University Greenlee School seniors -- Brianna Schwind, John Kormann, and Megan Eischeid are headed to New York as National Collegiate Effie finalists. They will “pitch” their campaign “Less is More” to the Heineken Strategic Marketing team on Thursday April 25th.
The national competition challenged students to create a consumer engagement campaign that would encourage Heineken consumers to drink responsibly.

Even though he completed his undergrad in business, photography has since taken over Damian Strohmeyer's life, as those who attended his lecture Thursday, March 7, found out. Strohmeyer has worked for decades as a sports photographer for various clients including Sports Illustrated, where his images have graced 67 covers since 1988.
Greenlee School advertising majors swept the student portion of the 2013 Addy Awards, winning one gold and two silver awards. The awards, presented by the Des Moines chapter of the American Advertising Federation, celebrate the best in professional-level work by agencies and artists throughout mid-Iowa.
