Current Research Interests and Teaching:

Advertising effects and general health advertising messages; Message processing, moods, emotions and memory; Strategic communication in the traditional and the new media environments; Current teaching interest: strategic communication (strategic planning, advertising and mass communication related courses and research methods)

Publications:

Articles have appeared in Advances in Consumer Research, Proceeding of American Academy of Advertising, Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly, and Journal of Advertising.

Major awards:

  • SJMC of the University of Minnesota Kriss Funds (2006 and 2005)
  • Third Place Student Research Paper, Communication Theory and Methodology Division at the AEJMC (2005);
  • University of Minnesota Graduate Research Program Partnership (2004);
  • First Place Student Research Paper, Advertising Division at the AEJMC (2003);
  • Kappa Tau Alpha National Honor Society in Journalism and Mass Communication Research Award (2003).
