Michael BugejaEducation: Ph.D., English, Oklahoma State University, 1985. Year started at ISU: 2003. Teaching and research: Media ethics, magazine writing, news writing, new technologies, and interpersonal communication. Publications: Creative and nonfiction works have appeared in Harpers, Georgia Review, Kenyon Review, Sewanee Review, Chronicle of Higher Education, The Chronicle Review, Editor & Publisher, Quill, among others. Commentaries on ethics have been featured in Newsday, Florida Today, American Journalism Review, Rocky Mountain News, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Columbus Dispatch, CBS radio and the Fox News Network. Author of 19 books, including "Interpersonal Divide: The Search for Community in a Technological Age," "Living Without Fear: Understanding Cancer and the New Therapies," "Living Ethics: Developing Values in Mass Communication" and "Guide to Writing Magazine Nonfiction." Major awards: Recipient of two outstanding "University Professor" awards (chosen by the student body of Ohio University); AMOCO Outstanding Teacher Award (chosen by the student body of Oklahoma State University); recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and Ohio Arts Council and a culture grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Experience: Worked as a reporter, correspondent and state editor for United Press International. Served as newspaper adviser for The Daily OCollegian, Oklahoma State University. Held such academic positions as associate professor, Paul Miller School of Journalism and Broadcasting, Oklahoma State University, 1979-86; professor, E.W.
