Third Place, Management & Sales Division Case Study Competition at the Broadcast Education Association annual conference (2002); National Communication Association 3rd Annual Doctoral Honors Seminar at Northwestern University (2000); First Place, Communication Technology Division debut paper competition at the Broadcast Education Association (1999); Phi Kappa Phi, National Honor Society (1998).

Experience:

Has worked as a sports reporter for newspapers in Illinois, served in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Corps and was an assistant professor at Central Michigan University, 2001-2004.
