Scott Stanzel
Scott Stanzel earned his B.A. at the Greenlee School in 1994. Two years later he was a field representative for the Dole for President campaign and then a staff member on Jim Ross Lightfoot's U.S. Senate campaign. Later, Stanzel served as a staffer in U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley's office. In 1999, Stanzel returned to Iowa to work as a field representative for George W. Bush's run for president. He also was western region media coordinator for that campaign. Soon after, Stanzel took a job at the White House as spokesman in the Office of Media Affairs and was the national press secretary for President Bush's 2004 campaign. Later Stanzel went to work managing public relations for Microsoft Corporation in Seattle, Wash. Stanzel now is deputy press secretary at the White House. |
