Wayne P. Davis
Wayne P. Davis was a weekly newspaper publisher at The Seymour Herald in southern Iowa for more than 30 years. In 1971 the Iowa Press Association named him an Iowa Master Editor-Publisher. He joined the Iowa State Center public relations staff in 1977, where he became an assistant director, responsible for marketing, public relations and sales. From 1988 to 1998 Davis was on the faculty of Iowa State’s Department of Journalism and Mass Communication part-time. Davis holds a bachelor’s degree in human relations from The Principia College at Elsah, Ill., a bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia, and received a master’s degree in journalism from Iowa State University in 1988. |
